Colour, Color, Colori
Would like to join something creative, colourful and fun next month?
I have partnered with the talented artist and designer Lori Siebert to bring you an Instagram challenge for the month of September. We thought hard about a theme for the prompts and decided to make it all about something we both LOVE… COLOUR so we called it #coloricombo
The ‘prompt list’ consists of fifteen delicious, carefully thought out colour combinations to explore. There are two days for every prompt to help with pacing.
All the colour duos are linked to edible colours and during the month, Lori and myself will share stories about their history, ideas on how to use colours together and fun themes and icons to draw and paint. I have also put together a list of topics to offer ideas that will link with the colour combos.
During September I’ll show demos using different materials on my YouTube channel, on Instagram and in the Creative Prompts with Esté MacLeod group on Facebook. You are invited to share outcomes on either platform.

This Instagram challenge is created in the spirit of encouraging exploration and creativity! We also love the sense of community and support that surrounds the artists who participate. It’s amazing to see your magical brains and talents at play!

Here’s a list of topics I created to help with ideas for your #coloricombo prompts.
The two colour suggestions are to be used as basic colours along with white and black. The combinations can be used in different tones, create tints by adding white or use it in stronger shades and colour values.
