Explore Still Life 1 starts 1 April 2022
Would you like to indulge in some creative ‘me time’ this spring? Join me for a month filled with colour and dynamic art projects to inspire and enthuse.
Back in 2015 when I began teaching my online art courses, the first theme I covered was still life. After seven years of running art and creativity courses covering a number techniques, I had many requests to revisit this theme. I created a new still life course in 2021. It was very well received (see testimonials below) and I am offering it once more only as a ‘live’ course from 1 to 3 April 2022.
Background
Over time I’ve done a lot of exploring and experimenting in order to develop new creative processes and techniques with different types of acrylics and paint mediums in combination with other water based media.
The result is a jam packed four-week long course where I will show you dynamic processes in various media to create expressive artworks. You will be doing all kinds of explorative projects where play is encouraged and experimenting with combined media will lead to new discoveries. The techniques and processes will build upon each other to develop your individual creativity and increase your knowledge of materials and techniques.
Colour Confident
Explore Still Life 1 has been created with an emphasis on colour and painting techniques and expanding knowledge to develop confidence and amplify individuals’ unique creative voices.
The course is delivered in weekly modules with four mini-projects leading up to bigger weekend artwork assignments, and is guarantee to inspire interest in exploring new processes and expand your art practice regardless of previous experience.
As always there will be an exclusive Facebook group for this course where questions can be asked and outcomes shared: this is a valuable component of a ‘live’ course vs self-paced.
Who Is The Course Aimed At?
I aim to teach in a way that reaches all levels of experience. However with a painting course such as Explore Still Life 1 there are more challenging components. It is most suited for intermediates but beginners are very welcome.
Cost & Dates
Explore Still Life 1 has EARLY BIRD pricing of £250 until 6 March when the regular price of £295 will apply. Course dates are 1-30 April 2022.
Access to the course materials will be until 31 October 2022 to allow time to revisit or catch up.
What They Said
Feedback from students of the previous Explore Still Life 1 course:
Thank you so much for another wonderful course, full of learning and growth. You always attract the most supportive, talented, and kind people to your classes and that’s a testament to you and your generous spirit as a teacher. One of the highlights for me is seeing how everyone approaches the lessons and all the diverse ways of creating. Best wishes to everyone as we continue our creative journeys and explorations.
JIEnjoying this still life class so much. You are a wonderful instructor thank you for doing all the fantastic modules. You only keep getting better as a teacher & an artist.
GSThank you, Esté, for such an inspirational and well-designed course. As a retired educator, I recognize the importance of and the amount of time that goes into planning and building skills. Each daily lesson in Explore Still Life 1 built one upon the next, leading to the challenging but fun weekly project. I look forward to returning to each lesson with a better sense of how to use the paints and mediums and more confidence in exploration and discovery.
CSThank you, Esté. This was the best art class I've ever taken! Lots of fun, and I learned a ton.
